We have the pleasure to inform you that on December 2, 2008 two OHADA seminars have been held at the University of Xiangtan (Chine) in the ambit of the promotion of OHADA law in China.

The first intervention was by Prof. Salvatore MANCUSO, professor of comparative law at the University of Macau and Honorary Professor of African Law at the University of Xiangtan, who presented the recent changes in the OHADA Treaty, coming out from the last Quebec summit.

The second intervention was by Prof. Ignazio CASTELLUCCI, professor of Chinese law and arbitration law at the University of Trento (Italy) who presented the advantages of the arbitration procedure for the solution of commercial disputes in China-Africa relations, with particular reference to the OHADA system of arbitration.

The seminar have been introduced by a ceremony of delivery of books for the university library.
