Association loi 1901, créée en 2002, FRANCE WEB , pour lutter contre « la fracture numérique » au centre de son projet et de son activité, distribue gratuitement à ses membres, un navigateur mobile universel, MyNewsCenterNavigator , fruit d'un travail de Recherche et Développement.
Cette innovation technologique, fondée sur le logiciel libre, devient un moyen pour la démocratisation du numérique.
Il s'agit d'une application type ODP multi plateformes fonctionnant sur n'importe quel ordinateur, PDA, netbook ou smartphone, avec connextion Internet. MyNewsCenterNavigator offre un environnement sécurisé et personnalisé avec des options de stockage sur clé USB pourvus de logiciels libres (bureautique, Internet, multimédia, applications éducatives, etc.) ou sur memoires flash, CD-ROM, disque dur ainsi que sur d'autres supports amovibles.
MyNewsCenterNavigator permet, quels que soient le lieu et la nationalité, en 3 clics, sans utiliser le clavier, de trouver l'information au bout des doigts, dans sa langue d'origine.
